Legislative Advocacy

A Message from CCHRCO's Legislative Committee

The National Association of Housing & Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) launched an advocacy campaign to urge Congress to include additional supplemental funding for HUD rental assistance programs at the levels included in the HEROES Act, to immediately provide financial assistance to families and landlords economically impacted by the pandemic, and to stand up for a universal voucher program that will create housing resiliency in the future and provide necessary resources to increase affordable housing supply in the future.

How can I help?

Please visit the NAHRO Advocacy Action Center (https://www.nahro.org/advocacy/advocacy-and-congressional-resources/action-alert-center/) to send letters to our lawmakers and the White House.

It will only take a few minutes to send your letter. When you enter the advocacy center and type your name and address, a pre-populated letter will appear for your review and submission to your elected officials.

Carolina's Council of Housing, Redevelopment & Codes Officials (CCHRCO) Legislative Committee is urging our trade association members to participate in this very important campaign.

Thank you so much for taking a few minutes to help advocate for affordable housing and the families we serve.
