HUD Regional Administrator keynotes 75th Anniversary Conference of Carolinas Council of Housing Redevelopment & Codes Officials

On August 25, 2015, Mr. Ed Jennings, Jr, Regional Administrator for Region IV attended the 75th Anniversary Conference of Carolinas Council of Housing Redevelopment & Codes Officials (CCHRCO). The conference, which was held in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, attracted the highest attendance ever recorded with 398 registered attendees. CCHRCO, which provides training and addresses housing issues, serves both North and South Carolina public housing authorities and was well attended by both states.

Jennings was the keynote speaker at the delegate breakfast business meeting, speaking on several topics to include Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) program and Father's Day participation. Accompanying Jennings was the South Carolina Field Office Director, Larry Knightner and South Carolina Public Housing Director, Eric Bickley, who also addressed the group.

Later that day Jennings later took the opportunity to address several groups who were engaged in concurrent training sessions. One of those sessions was the Housing Authority Commissioners Training. His comments during this session were both informative and encouraging and brought about some good exchange from the attendees.

Ms. Anne Burroughs, CCHRCO President expressed appreciation for Jennings' attendance the 75th Anniversary Conference which was a momentous occasion, punctuated by Mr. Jennings' participation and contributions.
